So, to patch the FE Server, is good to see the health(state) of the all replicas with Get-CsPoolFabricState -PoolFqdn <fqdn of the pool>. If something is missing, you need reset the pool registrar state to quorum loss recovery…….
Reset-CsPoolRegistrarState -ResetType QuorumLossRecovery
Remember, that all this steps are applied only when you have a minimum of 3 servers in the pool.
After it, you need move all services to other Front End in the same pool, and take the server offline:
Invoke-CsComputerFailOver -NoStop -ComputerName <server to be patched or upgraded>
Apply all the patches or upgrades that you want, and then, ran the follow cmdlet to return the server:
Invoke-CsComputerFailBack -ComputerName <server patched or upgraded>
Now, repeat the last 2 steps to all the servers in this pool.
